Donation Policy

Donation Policy

Ministries of Love receives financial gifts and donated wedding items to support couples, outreach efforts, ordainment resources, and acts of compassion.

Last updated: June 25, 2026. This policy explains how Ministries of Love handles cash donations, donated items, support requests, and related records.

Purpose of Donations

Donations may be used to support wedding assistance, donated item storage and organization, cleaning and preservation of donated items, shipping or delivery support, community outreach, ministry resources, operational needs, and other mission-aligned purposes.

Cash Donations

Cash donations may be made through approved payment processors, by check, or through other methods authorized by Ministries of Love. If online payments are enabled, payment processing may be handled by Stripe or another third-party processor. Processing fees may apply.

Donated Wedding Items

Ministries of Love may accept gently used wedding dresses, formalwear, veils, decor, arches, candles, signage, florals, table pieces, ceremony accessories, linens, and related items. Acceptance of items may depend on condition, storage space, current ministry needs, safety, cleanliness, and whether the item can reasonably be repurposed for another couple.

Item Condition and Repurposing

By donating items, donors understand that Ministries of Love may clean, repair, organize, store, gift, redistribute, repurpose, decline, dispose of, or otherwise use donated items in a way that supports the ministry mission. Donated items may not always be used exactly as originally intended.

No Guarantee of Support

Support requests are reviewed based on available donations, timing, location, item fit, need, and ministry capacity. Ministries of Love cannot guarantee that every requested item, amount, delivery, or form of support will be available.

Refunds and Cancellations

Cash donations are generally considered voluntary gifts. Refund requests may be reviewed case by case, but Ministries of Love may be unable to refund donations after funds have been processed, allocated, or used. Third-party payment processing fees may be non-refundable.

Receipts and Records

Ministries of Love may provide acknowledgments or receipts when possible. Donors are responsible for keeping their own records and consulting a tax professional regarding deductibility or valuation of donated items. Ministries of Love does not assign tax values to donated goods.

Restricted Gifts

Donors may express a preferred purpose for a gift, such as wedding support, outreach, shipping assistance, or donated item care. Ministries of Love will make reasonable efforts to honor donor intent, but reserves the right to redirect funds or items when needed to support the overall mission and practical ministry needs.

Shipping, Drop-Off, and Ownership

Donors are responsible for coordinating shipping or drop-off unless otherwise arranged. Once accepted, donated items become the property of Ministries of Love and may be used or distributed at the ministry's discretion.
